How You Can Help

There are three ways to help KyMBA Lincoln Trials.  Memberships, Volunteering and Donations.
Memberships are the first way to help KyMBA LT.  We would love for you to be part of our family of riders and trail enthusiasts.  There is definite strength in numbers.  There are many benefits to being a member of KyMBA Lincoln Trails such as:

    • 10% Discount on parts and accessories at Outdoor Ventures in Radcliff
    • 10% Discount on parts and accessories at Etown Cyclery in Elizabethtown
    • 20% Discount on Mega Caverns Bike Park passes (show your membership card at the time of purchase)
    • Free Level 1 Skills Clinic taught by ICP Certified Instructors

Volunteers keep things moving forward.  Be it trail work, advocacy, communication or administrative tasks it is all done by dedicated volunteers.  If you have time or talent that you can contribute to the effort please consider helping out.  We need help the following areas:

  • Event Planning, Implementation and Staffing
  • Trail Stewards and Trail Maintenance
  • Administration
  • Fundraising and Grant Writing
  • Communications; Social Media, Photography/Video, Press Releases, etc…
  • Group Ride Leaders
  • Skills Instructors

Donations help us take our ideas and turn them into trail on the ground and happier more skilled cyclists.  Here are some things that we use donated money and goods for

    • Master plan and project plan funding
    • Tools that are used to support local multi-use and mountain bike trails
    • Trail building materials; soil, lumber, fasteners, pin flags, etc…
    • Equipment rental
    • Tool maintenance and consumables.  Fuel, bar oil, chainsaw chains, axe saw, gloves, protective eyewear and tool trailer upkeep
    • Water, snacks and occasional meals for trail work events
  • Education:
    • First Aid/CPR for ride leaders, instructors and trail stewards
    • Specialized trail education; chainsaw safety, hand tool safety and equipment operation.
    • IMBA ICP Instructor Certification
    • Support Skills Clinic and Trail Mintenance Education with equipment, handouts, materials, facility rental, etc…
    • Non-profit related education so we get the most out of our opportunities

    • Facility rental; theaters, classrooms, pavilions and campsites
    • Entertainment and media
    • Water, beverages, snacks and food
